Are you making this up?
I can't help it, I like to ask Brett about his night over breakfast each day. The conversation usually goes something like this:
Me: Did you have a good sleep, Brett?
Brett: Yes, Mommy.
Me: Did you have any dreams?
Brett: No, Mommy.
This morning, there was a little twist:
Me: Did you have a good sleep, Brett?
Brett: Yes, Mommy.
Me: Did you have any dreams?
Brett (looking out the window): I dream we in the backyard.
Me: Really! What were we doing?
Brett: Ummm, playing.
Me: Playing what?
Brett: Ummmm, me and my mommy and my daddy playing in the grass!
Between you and me, I think he was making it up. Just the other day I asked him if he'd had a good day at his babysitter's house and he said, "Stop asking me that, Mommy."
If he's going to keep his end of the conversation going, I'm going to need some new questions.
