In the bathroom this morning:

Brett: What are you doing, mommy?

Me: Going to the bathroom.

Brett: Oh. [pause] Do you want me to read you a book?

Is not!

Some random pix because my posts lately have been so very lame. Not promising to get better, just posting these so I won't feel so bad.

We had a couple of our neighbours over to decorate festive cookies the week before christmas. This is Brett proud of his decorating skill. Granma (Randy's mom) is standing beside him.

What progress

Is three too young for video games?

This is the scene that greeted me when I got to Linda's to pick Brett up today. I have to admit: it doesn't surprise me. In the last month, Brett has learned how to use the touch pad on my laptop to play his "letter games" (on Starfall.com -- thanks, Trace!) and games on Kids CBC. He not only plays the games, but navigates between them. He even knows how to get out of it when he accidentally touches the wrong mouse button. The only thing he can't do (yet!) is select the site he wants from the bookmarks. He's watched me do it though, so it's only a matter of time.
